
Michael E. Welsh
Michael Welsh is an associate with Demeo LLP who concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation, government enforcement matters, and internal investigations. He has represented clients in state and federal courts in a broad range of matters, including business torts, contract disputes, securities class actions, shareholder derivative litigation, fiduciary duties, and regulatory investigations.
Prior to joining Demeo, Mr. Welsh was a Senior Associate at Cooley LLP. There, he was a member of the trial team for Uber Technologies, Inc., in a case brought in federal court by 34 taxi medallion-owning corporations that alleged unfair competition and conspiracy and sought more than $400 million in damages at trial, resulting in a complete defense verdict for Uber on liability and damages. Most recently, Mr. Welsh was a trial attorney at the Securities and Exchange Commission, investigating and litigating dozens of securities enforcement matters.
Mr. Welsh graduated cum laude from Boston College Law School, where he served as Editor in Chief of the Boston College Law Review. At Bowdoin College, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government.
