Elizabeth Brookhiser is a partner in Demeo LLP who focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and employment matters. She has experience resolving a range of disputes involving contracts, intellectual property, real estate, partner and shareholder rights, civil rights, and consumer protection laws. Ms. Brookhiser has achieved successful outcomes for clients in federal and state courts at the trial and appellate levels, as well as in arbitration and mediation. She was recognized as a Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Star in Business Litigation in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Ms. Brookhiser also advises clients on a range of employment issues, including non-competition, non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination claims. She has also successfully represented pro bono clients in obtaining asylum and humanitarian parole.
Before joining Demeo LLP, Ms. Brookhiser practiced in the Business and Securities Litigation Group at Ropes & Gray LLP. She received her law degree cum laude from Harvard Law School, where she was a member of the Board of Student Advisers and served as a teaching assistant for the First Year Legal Research and Writing Program. She graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
Ms. Brookhiser is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She is a member of the Boston Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association.
