Allison Huppé is a partner in Demeo LLP. Ms. Huppé has a diverse litigation practice representing corporate and individual clients in complex commercial disputes relating to contract, partnerships, shareholder rights, employment and real estate.  She also has represented individuals, trustees and estates in probate litigation.  Ms. Huppé served as counsel in matters that proceeded to trial or arbitration on claims of adverse possession, breach of fiduciary duty, agency liability, defamation, breach of commercial leases and will contests and obtained summary judgment on behalf of the firm’s clients in several recent contract disputes.

Ms. Huppé earned her B.A. in political science from Yale College in 1994 and graduated from Columbia Law School in 2000.  While studying at Columbia, Ms. Huppé was an editor and staff member of the Columbia Law Review and a teaching assistant to first-year law students in civil procedure.  Post-graduation, Ms. Huppé worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Juan R. Torruella of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.  Ms. Huppé began her career in the private sector at Ropes & Gray LLP.

Ms. Huppé is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.  She is a member of the Boston Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association.

Ms. Huppé lives in Winchester with her daughter and previously spent 10 years living in Boston’s North End.

Recent Highlights

• Represented Fortune 250 company in array of matters, including: obtaining summary judgment dismissal of plaintiff’s case and successfully defending lower court decision before Massachusetts Court of Appeals; procuring favorable settlement in action initiated under the Lanham Act; and prevailing on appeal of lower court decisions dismissing plaintiff’s $2,000,000 contract claims at summary judgment and motion to dismiss stage.
• Obtained summary judgment in favor of client Bank of America in a decision awarding more than $700,000 in contract damages and attorney’s fees to the bank.
• Mediated claims to resolution resulting in significant settlement payments to clients in breach-of-contract cases relating to real estate development, product development deals and partnership distributions.
• Defeated motion to dismiss in case of first impression involving conflict-of-laws analysis and Massachusetts Anti-Wiretapping Statute.
