Sam Goodwin is an associate with Demeo LLP, focusing on commercial and civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm, he represented clients in a variety of disputes in both state and federal court for more than six years as an associate at Ropes & Gray. During that time, he represented a broad array of companies and non-profit entities, including in the healthcare, private equity, and financial services sectors.

In 2024, Mr. Goodwin was appointed as a Special Assistant District Attorney in the Middlesex County, Massachusetts District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted misdemeanor and felony offenses through trial.

Mr. Goodwin graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University in 2013 and was awarded the Albert H. Imlah European History Prize. In 2017, he graduated from Yale Law School, where he interned with the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts. Thereafter, he clerked for the Honorable Diane E. Murphy of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
