Michael Horrell is a Senior Associate with Demeo LLP, focusing on complex commercial litigation and appellate advocacy. He brings more than 12 years of litigation experience representing clients in state and federal courts as well as arbitral proceedings. Mr. Horrell earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he served on the Board of Student Advisers, participated in the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project and was Symposium Co-Chair of the Harvard Journal on Legislation. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Yale University. Mr. Horrell was a Senior Associate at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, where he represented clients in a wide range of complex business disputes in state and federal courts and international arbitral tribunals. He most recently served as Senior Staff Attorney and Director of the Healthcare and Disability Project at Prisoners’ Legal Services of Massachusetts. In that role, Mr. Horrell litigated civil rights matters in state and federal courts, argued motions and appeals, examined expert and lay witnesses, and obtained injunctive relief following evidentiary hearings. In recognition of that work, he received the 2020 Boston Bar Association President’s Award.
